Mark Ingram, Co-Founder and Producing Director

Emmy-Award winning producer, Mark Ingram has been very active in the music industry for over 30 years. He was a production coordinator for the Anheuser-Busch Concert Series for more than 18 years, producing shows for such notable artist as Chaka Kahn, Nancy Wilson, Peabo Bryson, George Wallace, The O’Jays, The Whispers, The Temptations, Gladys Knight, Dianne Reeves, Sinbad, Ashford & Simpson, Jennifer Holliday, Lou Rawls, Angela Bofill, Roberta Flack, Patti Austin, Roy Ayers, George Duke, Rachel Farrell, George Clinton, Morris Day & The Time, and many others.

With best friend and business partner, Orbert Davis, Mark co-owns and operates 3Sixteen Records and Orbark Productions LLC, an independent record label and music production company. Recent producer credits include "Home and Away", a Boeing commissioned project to honor our U.S. men and women in uniform, and the Emmy-Award winning national PBS documentary "DuSable to Obama: Chicago's Black Metropolis" produced by WTTW (also where Mark garnered his Emmy-Award for the production of its soundtrack). Mark has hired musicians and singers for various projects for many major record labels including Atlantic Records, Warner Brothers Records, Columbia Records, Epic Records, Arista Records, Capitol Records and of course, their own 3Sixteen Records. He has also secured musicians for on and off-camera performances for several feature films including DreamWorks Pictures’ “Road To Perdition” starring Tom Hanks and Paul Newman; Universal Pictures’ “The Babe” starring John Goodman; Columbia Pictures’ “A League of Their Own” starring Tom Hanks, Gena Davis, Madonna and Rosie O’Donnell; and the Paramount Pictures/Paramount Television series “The Untouchables.” Mark, himself, has performed as backup singer with such notables as Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle and Carol King, to name a few. Additionally, Mark Ingram co-owns, with Orbert Davis, and operates Discover Music: Discover Life, Inc., a company that develops curriculum and implements comprehensive K-12 interdisciplinary education programs, using music to teach academic and life skills to at-risk youth. He’s also co-founder of the renowned Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, a world-class 55+ piece symphonic jazz orchestra.

Mark recently celebrated his 325th show as executive producer of "The Real Deal with Orbert Davis", a weekly 3-hour program airing on 90.9fm WDCB (also streaming live online at wdcb.org). Mark lives in the South Suburbs of Chicago with his wife, Angela.
