As we approach our six years since our debut performance at the 2004 Chicago Jazz Festival, Chicago Jazz Philharmonic has much to be thankful for, including the ongoing support of patrons that helped to get us started and have sustained us. In 2009 alone we have:

Mounted our first ever multi-engagement Chicago Concert Series which successfully opened with the debut of a 14-piece CJP Chamber Ensemble. The 2009-10 Concert Series continued with "From Ella to Mandela: The Legacy of the African and American Spirit" in March 2010 at the Auditorium Theatre;

Launched the first annual CJP Jazz Academy in partnership with the University of Illinois at Chicago – a week-long intensive summer music camp attracting over 90 students from across the Chicagoland area to study with CJP musicians and a world-class UIC Jazz Faculty. In 2010, the camp extends to two-weeks; and

Established the Chicago-Poznan Jazz Philharmonic with our international premiere of "Collective Creativity Suite" in partnership with a talented student orchestra from the Poznan Academy of Music in Poland. We look forward to sustaining this partnership as well as creating new ones such as this around the world.

The organization is tax exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(C)3 of the Internal Revenue Code as of May 5, 2004 (tax exempt letter available upon request). Therefore, any donations / contributions to Chicago Jazz Philharmonic are 100% tax deductible.
